I've been out with my mates from Bega this last weekend.
We first met back in issue #14 when I did a lap through the Kosciuszko National Park with them. We had a ball, and I went down to see them again last year, but due to a cock-up with my work I had to bail after just a single day.
So this year they made their way up the coast to Coffs, and Ozzo and I spent a couple of days dualsporting with the boys. We went to Burren Junction because the trip takes in some of our favourite riding, and of course, there's a soak in the Spring at the end of it all.
We were also joined by Bellingen brothers Matt and Chris Foster (no relation. Well...no relation to me. They're brothers, so they're obviously related to each other), and diehard Yamaha fan and restorer, Gavin Gill.
It was a fun couple of days. No-one had any sleep because the local cricket club decided to party at the Spring on the Saturday night and into Sunday morning, and there was a bit of storm which almost blew Gav's tent to Tamworth, but overall, it was good fun.
Issue #26 is now on my desktop, and I've already hit a snag. The KTM690 was supposed to be here to do this Burren Junction ride with us. It would've been a great test for a bike like that, but it never arrived. Bummer.
Husky Australia also phoned to say they had to give the TE250 to another magazine, but that TBAM would have it before Christmas.
Spewin'.
So with all these empty days in my week, there's not much I can do except go riding, I guess.
Longest Day is 13 days away. It might be a good to do some prep.
