Things definitely aren't going my way at the moment. That's a pic of me in the backyard a couple of hours ago. That's the shed in the background.
I live in Belligen, for those who don't know, and we've had some rain this last few days. Fortunately, I had an uneasy feeling about the rain a few days ago, and I was able to move bikes, mowers and other equipment to safer ground - with heartfelt thanks to the local bike shops and some good friends.
So I'm late with the blog again, and I don't have a great deal to tell you all about anything bike related. Sorry about that. My phone copped a dunking during The Great Chook Rescue this morning as well, so I've been off the air for a while. I know Telstra cops a hiding off just about everyone, but the service they've given here has been brilliant. No matter how deep the water gets, the phone and internet seem to work. Dunkings are beyond their control.
As I'm writing this, the floodwater is about 10cm below the floorboards under my feet. At the moment, the level is steady, but there won't be much sleeping going on tonight - especially as my mate on the kayak there will be inside, dragging his toenails over the timber floor.
Nothing much to report on the bike front, I'm afraid. Try me next Monday.

PS: Here's a scene from The Great Chook Rescue. Youse will have to use your imaginations to fill in the lashing ferocity of the storm, the lightning strikes, and the grateful expressions on the livestock.
