Not much to report again this week.As far as issue #31 goes, the guys at Leatt in South Africa were brilliant and the neck brace article is finished. I spent a couple of days last week visiting advertisers in Brisbane, and it looks as though the Link International folks are VERY excited about having Pirelli tyres. I don't know if they were entirely happy about my raving over the Vee Rubber rears on the DR650, but I'm sure they won't be too upset.
This week the Australian dirt-bike press will be the guests of the Paul Feeney Group to ride the 2010 Husqvarnas. I missed last year's release because I was in Laos, but the year before was exceptional. We're back at the same resort this year, so the accommodation will be five star. Apparently we're riding the bikes at Kyogle, and this year there'll be a good length enduro loop, so I'm looking forward to it.
I've had the KTM out three times in the last week, and - I have my fingers crossed as I write this - no problems. Awesome! It's been dry, too, so as I gained more confidence in the forks I was able to fall off at much higher speeds. Hooray! It's bucketing down rain here now, so I'll be back in the mud and clay on the next ride (which won't be today).
Maybe I'm finally at the point where I can spend some money on unnecessary stuff for the bike, instead of constantly doing repairs.
Issue #30 is on sale, and I llike it better than #29. I don't know why. I just do. I admit I'm feeling fairly smug about having Toby Price on the cover, seeing as he did so well at the Six Day.
That'll do for today.
If possible I'll blog from the Husky release, so check in Wednesday night.
