Not much I can tell youse this week. I'm still stuck behind the desk with my foot up. I cant drive or ride, and I can't put any weight on the leg, so I'm stuck with the web and the view from the window.Issue #31 is done and - I think - has been printed. I've started on issue #32, but am mostly tied up trying to recover the loose ends I let slip while I was finishing #31.
Meanwhile, I ordered a copy of the 2009 Euro motocross season, and I'm totally in awe of Antonio Cairoli. It's been a long time since I've seen anyone look that strong on a bike. For someone who looks to have a fairly slight build, he has an impossible capacity for copping a pounding and holding onto a bike. He looks a lot like Merriman on the bike and he is truly amazing to watch. I think I'm going to be a fan for quite a while.
I haven't had time to watch the whole season yet, but I'm loving what I've seen so far.
The Brisbane Super X is on this weekend, and in a selfish way I'm kind of glad James Stewart won't be there. I had intended to go, but I'm still not able to travel, so I'll have to miss it. At least I won't be missing seeing Stewart ride. There's a big contingency of local riders heading up there, so I'm sure to get a low-by-blow report on the night.
As an aside, all my gear is back from Condo! Hooray! The Tenere is back from Lake Cargellico. Hooray again! Steve Crombie still hasn't sent back the keys to my van. Boo. I can't drive, so it's no big deal, I guess.
I had an e-mail from Longest Day campaigner Mick Crutch this morning. Mick says everyone's bailling on the ride. Softcocks. I hope SOMEONE has  crack at it. I think it will be very challenging this year. The weather's very unsettled, and that plays a bg part in a Longest Day run. I'm already mentally preparing myself for next year's ride.
More next week.
