There's not much to talk about this week. Having finished Issue #32 on Friday, I now have to chase up all the things I let go while I was busy with the last bits and pieces. I'm at my desk catching up on paperwork and payments and so forth. It's kind of annoying, because although it doesn't seem like a big deal, it soaks up a lot of time.
It has to be done, but.
Meanwhile, the Aussie race season is about a month away, and it's obvious I'm not going to make the Four Day again this year, nor will I make the first half of the AORCs. It's a huge bummer for me, but it's not the end of the world. I went halves with Dan Ralph in a little bucket racer last year. An hilarious session of, "Yeah let's buy that!" as we surfed Ebay after a race last year meant we ended up with a screamer little KH100, and I'll give that a run in the North Coast series until I can get back on a dirt bike. I'm already a little snookered. The first round looks like conflicting with a trip to Cairns for the Cape York story TBAM's running this year.
We'll see, but.
The first round of the AORC is Port Maquarie again, so I'll be there to try and bag a heap of shots of the riders in the 2010 colours and so forth, and I'm slowly making a little more distance on the DR. I managed half-a-dozen laps of the yard and a derby up and down the road last week. So I'll be back in the desert in no time, I reckon. Except there's not much desert out there at the moment, I gather. It seems to be fairly wet.
Whatever.
Back to paperwork.
Sigh.
