Sydney-based tour operator Ferris Wheels Motorcycle Safaris has released an updated version of their popular DVD, containing new chapters describing all of their international destinations.
The new-look edition introduces Mike and Denise Ferris explaining candidly how they’ve managed to establish themselves as Australia’s pre-eminent choice in international motorcycle tours, as well as individual updated segments of their tours in diverse locations such as Morocco, Kashmir, Turkey, Bhutan, Nepal, South America, and the Dalmatian coastline.
From humble beginnings more than 15 years ago with a single group across the Himalaya, the Ferris Wheels portfolio now consists of 10 or 12 three-week tours across a dozen different countries. Mike and/or Denise lead each and every tour themselves, maintaining their very personal and professional service, rather than employing Joe Citizen to lead their adventurous and often challenging tours.
The new DVD comes completely free but might end up actually costing you a significant sum of money, because the images and the carefully selected music will have you wanting to call Ferris Wheels and head off to far horizons with them. Their group size is typically 15 to 20 riders, with or without pillion partners. All tours are fully backed up with a support van for luggage and a motorcycle mechanic or two to keep the machines in top running condition, as well as a local tour escort who speaks the necessary language in the relevant country, and of course one or both of the Ferrises (Ferrisi?) as mentioned above. More information on their tours and destinations may be found on their also recently re-vamped website, www.ferriswheels.com.au.
