G'day all
Well, we just got back from surveying the postie run and its awesome!
We're gunna have to skip out Mount Buffalo on day 1 as there wont be time, but if you get in with daylight to spare on Thursday arv, I'd recommend a quick blast up there.
Day 1 we should be able to sort brekky before an early start at dawn and easy tracks along Tea Tree Range track, Racecourse track and then the 24
crossings of Crooked River.
Most of these are around spark plug depth so we're gunna have to make up some sort of shields to get a bow wave happening, either that or carry them across, but dont worry, there's only 24 crossings.
After that we climb Bulltown Spur and there could be a wee bit of pushing needed here before we hit the easy road into Dargo, hopefully before dark.
We wont make it to Omeo as originally planned, its too far. Theres heaps of bunk style accommodation in Dargo and we hope to stay at the old mill, which will have camping and accommodation options and a group bonfire. We should be able to sort dinner here, but you'll need to be self sufficient for the day.

A postie adventure with Phil Hodgens ain't for the faint hearted!
Day 2 we'll sort brekky before heading out to Blue rag, (which is awesome!) across Hotham down to Omeo, Benambra and Davies Hut to camp on the Banks of the Murray at Tom Groggin. We'll sort lunch at Omeo but you'll need Brekky the next morning.
Day 3 we carve some awesome twisty tar to Jindabyne then take the Barry Way to Mckillops Bridg. This will be an easy day with plenty of time to take in the scenery, which is also awesome. You'll need brekky at Tom Groggin, but you can pick up brunch at Jindabyne and you'll need dinner and brekky at Mckillops.

Get set for some great highs on the upcoming Hardcore High Country postie run.
Day 4 we'll take Limestone track back to Benambra, over Blowhard and probably return to Porepunkah via Falls Creek and Bright by mid arvo.
You'll need brekky and snacks for the day.
If anyone has any ideas for waterproofing the engine, temporarily, for the crooked river crossings, send us a pic.
More info as we make it up, see ya's there.
