Entries are now open for the 2010 Australasian Safari, which is being held in the Western Australian outback from 17-25 September.
If you’re keen to compete in Australia’s most extreme off-road motorsport event, or to simply get on your bike and off the beaten track for a week, make sure you sign up before the Early Bird entry date - 15 April 2010 at 5:00pm AEST.
Unofficially known as the ‘Dakar Downunder’ for its extreme off-road challenges, the Australasian Safari attracts some of the world’s most talented and extreme Moto, Quad and Auto competitors to a week of incredible adventure through the remote West Australian outback.
There are three levels of entry available: the competitive entry status, and the non-competitive Moto Tour and Moto Tour Challenge suiting varying levels of experience.
“International competitors are really showing an interest in Safari this year, and they are determined to beat the Aussies,” Event Director Justin Hunt said. “The course looks great and so are our new host towns for 2010”.
Supplementary Regulations are now being finalised and will be published in the near future, while an Expression of Interest form is now available and can be accessed from the Safari website at www.australasiansafari.com.au.
