Aussie TM UK Electraction rider Josh Green has had a brilliant start to his WEC career by posting a 3rd place finish in Portugal.
After toughing out one of the hardest WEC events in history the GP of Spain Josh has backed up 1 week later in Portugal with an impressive 3rd place in the EJ class on aboard his TM 300.
Josh has shown skill and determination beyond his years as well as continuing his rapid learning curve to compete with the world’s best. After Joshes impressive win in Friday nights Super Test his first WEC outing in Spain, he learnt just how things can change after he over jumped a table top and damaged his front wheel resulting in a DNF.
In true Josh Green style he backed up on day 2 with day 1 a distant memory, battled through a controversial GP of Spain to a strong 8th place finish.
“The GP of Spain was hardest event I have ever ridden it was crazy! I learnt a lot this weekend and im happy to get some valuable championship points on day 2, I can’t wait for Portugal” says Josh
1 week later in the GP of Portugal Josh was excited to be back on board his TM UK Electraction prepared TM 300 ready for another big weekend of racing. Josh had a strong start to the weekend in Friday nights rain affected Super Test with a 9th place.
Day 1 Josh battled with the worlds best to card a 6th place in EJ under 23yrs class and then Day 2 was where Josh really showed he will be a rider to watch in the future with the consistency of a seasoned vet posting his fastest times towards the end of the day and winning special test 8 to finish a strong 3rd place overall his first taste of the WEC podium.
After the race josh said “This is great, only my second WEC event and I have a podium finish to my name! This weekend was not as hard as last week but was still a real challenge, I’m not getting ahead of myself I still have a lot to learn to climb the next 2 steps on the podium”
“I would really like to give a huge thanks to my team Electraction TM UK especially Nick Craigie he puts in so much to make this happen and im really stoked to be apart of such a great team, I also can’t thank Mum and Dad enough they are the best parents I could ask for, also I would like everyone back home that sits up till the early hours following my results and cheering me on, it really helps to know I have your support! Now I will head back to Ireland and get training for the next GP in Italy”
After 4 rounds of WEC racing Josh sits in 7th in the EJ point’s championship, the next event is on the 22nd-23rd of May in Italy

Third place finish for Josh Green in the WEC round in Portugal is a big achievement for the young Aussie.
